Chrysler the powerful productionChrysler was a proud and prestigious vehicle during the 1950s. 1955, the first Chrysler 300’s look was athletic. With 300 horsepower aboard, it was among the quickest cars of its time. It reached to 60 mph in just 9.8 seconds. Apart from being the most powerful production car of its time, the first Chrysler 300 was also among the best handling thanks to a heavy-duty suspension. It was also very luxurious and handsome. The new 1960 Chryslers transformed its shape. The tail fins were thin like razors and ended in a point that looked ready to endanger the pedestrians. Between the fins, the flat trunk lid featured the impression of a spare tire. Grille up front was a spectacular but with simple taste. A major restyling came to all Chryslers for 1963. The current Chrysler 300 is just sensational. It has a distinctive styling, roomy interior and powerful performance. The Chrysler 300 comes in LX, Touring, Limited, C and SRT8 trim levels. The base 300 (LX) comes with 178 horsepower, 2.7 litre V6 connected to a four-speed automatic transmission. Touring and Limited trims have a 3.5 litre, 250 horsepower, V6 and a five speed automatic. The top end 300C and 300C SRT8 feature 5.7 litre V8 engines with five speed automatics. The 300C's V8 is with 359 horsepower, and the SRT8's boasts 425 horsepower. Some of the 300's mechanicals are derived from Mercedes-Benz technology and Dodge Charger.
